Producer prices increased 24.6% year-on-year in the euro area and 25.2% in the EU in December last year, according to Eurostat data released on Friday.
Industrial producer prices in the energy sector jumped 48.6% from a year earlier in the euro area and 49.6% in the EU.
The prices rose in all member states, with the largest yearly hike registered in Hungary (62.7%), Latvia (49.4%), and Romania (41.9%)
On a monthly basis, industrial producer prices rose 1.1% in the euro area and 1.2% in the EU in December.
